1.Just one hundred years since the pioneers came;
let’s give them a hand and a mighty acclaim!
With nowhere to go they decided to stay.
Sing too-ra-lu, too-ra-lu, Too-ru-li-day!
2.They looked pretty weary but nobody sighed;
the out-look was dreary but nobody cried.
There was nothing to buy and no-thing to pay.

3.They looked all around them but they could not see
any houses or barns and scarcely a tree.
Then one of them ventured to say “It’s O.K.,

4.Convenience was scanty as you are aware.
They had no spare bedrooms to rent or to share;
If one mentioned bathing another would say,

5.They soon went to work with their shovels and spades.
Just see what a beautiful garden they made.
And so we do honor their mem’ries today.
